Self-Contained Performance

ACE™ bus HVAC units are self-contained systems that leave the manufacturer’s facility in a completely operational state. This makes installation at the bus OEM site faster and eliminates the most common mistakes made during bus assembly.

This mature compressor technology is a key ingredient in achieving improvement over traditional bus air conditioning designs. Two compression parts driven by a robust internal AC voltage motor offer no valve losses, continuous compression, exceptional reliability, and 70% isentropic efficiency (over 25% more efficient than reciprocating compressors).

Hermetic Scroll Compressors

SUTRAK’s patented Dual Loop technology provides for redundancy, as well as the ability to scale power requirements to the cooling needs of the vehicle. Once the desired temperature is achieved, one loop can shutdown while the other maintains cooling to both sides of the vehicle. This saves power taken from the engine and enhances fuel savings.

Dual Loop Systems (roof mount)

The reliability of AC components far surpasses DC brush and brushless designs. SUTRAK’s heavy duty AC voltage motors are in use in light and heavy rail applications, APM vehicles, and special projects.

AC Voltage Blower and Fan Motors

SUTRAK engineered a robust power package for traditional fuel applications. Belt-driven from the main engine, the generator is air-cooled and produces 3 phase AC voltage. Power management and voltage protection is integrated in both the generator and SUTRAK Frequency Regulator (SFR).

Power Package

Circuit breakers and ground fault protect the system, passengers, and maintenance crews in case of a voltage problem. Optional electric resistance heat is protected by airflow, temperature, and fusible link safety devices. All motors have circuit breakers and overload protection.

Safety Protection

For traditional fuel buses, a power grid connection will power the ACE™ system and eliminate idling. Great for pre-run cooling, maintenance crews, or bus stations where vehicles remain parked for extended periods.

Ancillary (shore) Power Option

Imagine full capacity heat only moments after turning your bus on. This option further simplifies installation by eliminating hot water hoses to and from the A/C housing, and can negate the need for fuel-fired water heating packages.
